3. Looking for a Therapist?

The first step to seeking therapy is such a brave one. It’s a decision that I know, for many people, comes with anxiety and anticipation. I want you to know that all of those feelings are welcome here. In therapy with me as your therapist, you will not be seen as someone with “issues” or a diagnosis. You will be a human who stepped out in strength to ask for support. We cannot do it alone. We all need a village and I am honored that you’d even consider adding me to yours.

I am the Site Director and a Licensed Professional Counselor at Connected Counseling and Wellness- Alpharetta.

I see clients in person at my office there and can provide telehealth services anywhere in the state of GA.

My goal as a therapist is to build a caring, nonjudgmental environment to ensure that everyone who enters my office feels accepted and safe.

I work with adult clients (18+) from a client-centered lens. Utilizing a client-centered approach to therapy, I practice with empathy and compassion.

I work with different mental health issues including, but not limited to: trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and women's issues. I am Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 and Level 2 trained and EMDR trained.

My goal will always be to walk with you towards healing while helping you feel seen and held along the way.

"As a fellow clinician, I've had the honor of collaborating with Herani to support and care for clients as they navigate eating disorder recovery. The time and attention Herani brings to coordinating care with team members, thinking creatively about what may serve clients in her care best, and offering her expertise to both treatment teams and in the community is second to none. I appreciate her warmth, compassion and deep understanding of the intersection of eating disorders and trauma."
